Salt Removal by Combining a Permanent Skip Furrow Irrigation and Salt Removal Sheet

نویسندگان

چکیده

Skip furrow irrigation (SFI) can save water by irrigating every alternate furrow. Usually, irrigated furrows are alternated at each event under SFI. If fixed (permanent SFI, PSFI), more may be saved reducing the wetting area, and salts accumulate on dry side of ridge. Salt removal sheet, a method collecting sheet laid soil surface utilizing high evaporation demand in drylands, an efficient measure for accumulated salt PSFI. We evaluated salinity movement saving PSFI through field experiment Uzbekistan. In addition, was applied to shoulder ridge drier evaluate its potential removing from with practice. The results showed that tend ridge, amount halved without large crop yield reduction. + Sheet able catch 6.4% top 10 cm layer.

Protein removal from salt-laden wastewater by activated carbon

One of the wastewaters from tanning industry (soak liquor) contains 0.4 g/L of dissolved protein. During coagulation and flocculation 41% of protein was removed. A suggestion has been made to remove the residual protein by adsorption technique. The optimum conditions for adsorption of Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA) on rice bran based activated carbon (RBAC) were arrived. Maximum adsorption of BSA t...

A Salt and Pepper Noise Removal and Restoration Refinement Algorithm

Noise removal is an important task inside the image processing area. In this paper, an algorithm for reducing salt and pepper noise and improving the restoration quality through refinement is presented. This algorithm proposes a double screen. As a first step, the algorithm computes an estimation of the denoised image by using an adaptive median filter. Then, the Non-Local Means algorithm is us...

Salt: rejection in nanofiltration for single and binary salt mixtures in view of sulphate removal

Three commercial membranes (NF70, NF90 and TFC-SR) were firstly characterized in terms of pure water flux and the: rejection of uncharged (alcohols and sugars) compounds. Subsequently, the rejection of monovalent (sodium and chloride) and divalent (calcium and sulphate) ions in single (NaC1, CaC12 and Na2SO4) and binary (NaC1/Na2SO4, CaClJCaSO4, NaC1/CaC12 and Na2SO4/CaSO4) salt mixtures was st...

Salt-and-Pepper Noise Removal Based on Sparse Signal Processing

In this paper, we propose a new method for Salt-and-Pepper noise removal from images. Whereas most of the existing methods are based on Ordered Statistics filters, our method is based on the growing theory of Sparse Signal Processing. In other words, we convert the problem of denoising into a sparse signal reconstruction problem which can be dealt with the corresponding techniques. As a result,...

Susceptibility of Salt Marshes to Nutrient Enrichment and Predator Removal

Salt marsh ecosystems have been considered not susceptible to nitrogen overloading because early studies suggested that salt marshes adsorbed excess nutrients in plant growth. However, the possible effect of nutrient loading on species composition, and the combined effects of nutrients and altered species composition on structure and function, was largely ignored. Failure to understand interact...
